About Jan
Today I love my life! I have a wonderful husband, a beautiful home and a career that is totally in line with my inner being.

Yet it wasn’t always this way. I know what it’s like to be stuck in a career that feels wrong. After more than 20 years in banking and financial services, I was a nervous wreck. Going to work felt like being trapped in a torture chamber. Still, I was terrified of leaving. I kept telling myself that I needed the job to pay the bills, that maybe it would get better. It didn’t. I thought I could adapt but as time went on it just got worse.
What was happening was that the linear work was fighting it out with my creative talents. I was trying to fit myself into a mould that was simply wrong for my personality. It was crushing my spirit.

Once I summoned up the energy to make changes, I took a long hard look at what was really fulfilling and purposeful for me. The insights I received led me to quit my corporate career and go on the search for something that would reflect my creativity, authenticity, integrity, curiosity and love of learning. The upshot of it all was that I returned to school to complete an M.A. in Psychology with an emphasis in Career Counseling. Then I trained as a coach at The Coaches’ Training Institute (C.T.I.) one of the oldest and most respected coach training schools in the nation. I also became a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

It was a natural next step to start my own business as a Career and Life Coach where I use my experience to help clients deal with similar issues and watch them blossom into a deeper understanding of their lives and purpose.
